We know that exploring home care can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to funding. That’s why we keep things clear and simple. We’ll always walk you through your options and help make sure the care you choose is manageable and right for your situation.
Care costs will vary depending on what support you need. Some people might just need short visits a few times a week, while others might need full-time or live-in care. We’ll always give you a personalised quote based on your care plan.
Some services are funded by the local council or NHS (via Continuing Healthcare). Others are paid for privately or with top-up support. We’re happy to guide you through every option.
Looking for flexible support to suit your lifestyle? At Broadcare, visiting care starts from just £28.90 per hour, tailored entirely to your needs.
We’ll work with you to create a personalised care plan, whether you need 30 minutes a week or daily visits. Our services are designed to help you stay independent in your own home, with support that fits around your routine.
All our care professionals are fully trained, DBS checked to an enhanced level, and fully insured. We aim to provide consistency with a regular team you can trust.
And with us, there are no surprises; we’re upfront and transparent about costs, with no hidden fees.
Need round-the-clock support? Our live-in care packages start from £1,689 per week for one person, or £1,889 for a couple, offering personalised care in the comfort of your own home.
Live-in care is ideal if you need full-time assistance but want to stay in familiar surroundings rather than move into residential care. We’ll build a tailored care plan just for you, focused on your needs, preferences, and wellbeing.
Whether it’s short-term respite or long-term care with no end date, we’re here for as long as you need us. You’ll be supported by a carefully matched, highly trained carer, and benefit from oversight by our in-house registered nurse to ensure the highest quality of care.
If your assets, including savings and investments, total more than £23,250, you’ll likely need to cover your care costs privately.
However, when receiving care in your own home, your property's value usually isn’t counted. If you're unsure where you stand, your local council can carry out a Financial Assessment to help clarify your options.
This assessment will determine whether:
If your Financial Assessment shows that you’ll need to pay for your own care, we’re here to support you through the process. We know it can feel overwhelming, so we’ll work with you and your loved ones to create a personalised care and payment plan that fits your needs, now and in the future.
As your circumstances change, your care plan can be adjusted to suit. And if you ever have questions about funding, just ask, we’ll either answer directly or connect you with someone who can. With Broadcare, transparency comes as standard.
There are a number of financial support options available to help with the cost of care:
These benefits can ease the financial pressure of accessing the care and support you need. If you’re unsure what you may be entitled to, we’re happy to point you in the right direction.
Hospital Discharge & Reablement
If you need short-term care following a hospital stay, you may be eligible for up to 6 weeks of free recovery support (known as intermediate reablement) at home. Hospital staff will assess your needs and arrange support before you’re discharged.
Social Care Support
If you require help with daily living or need to move into a care home, your local authority may contribute to or fully fund your care, depending on your financial situation.
In England and Northern Ireland, if your savings and assets are below £23,250, you may qualify for support.
NHS Continuing Healthcare is a care package fully funded by the NHS for adults over 18 with ongoing and significant health needs. It’s not means-tested, so your financial situation won’t affect your eligibility and care can be provided either in your own home or in a care or nursing home.
To access this support, a nurse or social worker will first complete an initial screening. If you meet the criteria, a full assessment will follow, carried out by a team of health and social care professionals using a tool called the Decision Support Tool. If you qualify, your local Integrated Care Board (ICB) will be asked to approve and arrange your funded care.
In the event that you are found to be ineligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare, NHS Funded Nursing Care may be an appropriate alternative. This happens if the findings of your assessment were that you need to live with support from a Registered Nurse.
In this case, payment is made by the NHS directly.
If you're eligible for NHS Continuing Healthcare or NHS Funded Nursing Care, you may be offered a Personal Health Budget. This gives you more choice and control over how your care is delivered. There are three ways this budget can be managed:
Our care packages are bespoke, so your fees will reflect the level and type of care you need. Whether it's occasional support or full-time complex care, we’ll work with you to create a plan that suits your life and your budget.
We charge an hourly rate depending on your tailored Care Plan, which is developed with you following a comprehensive assessment. This covers everything from the number of visits per day to whether your care is provided by Care Assistants, Support Workers or Registered Nurses.
We’re committed to complete transparency, with no hidden costs and clear pricing from day one. Our fees are competitive and often offer a more flexible, personal alternative to residential care homes.
